The stories that connect us

Grief is so isolating. When our beloved person dies, we’re left feeling like an alien on another plant - people go about their daily lives while ours shatters into a million pieces. Our stories, our memories, our shared grief, is what connects us. It’s the reason I started the Project in the first place - I had no one to tell my story to anymore, no one to ask me about my mom, no one to see my grief and recognize it as familiar.

I’m so honoured to share these stories, it is one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever received. These are parts of six stories, only a fraction of the stories that are on the Project. These are the first of a series of highlighted stories I’ll be sharing over the coming weeks. These are living, breathing memories, love, grief, pain, longing and resilience. The women who have so courageously shared their stories with me are some of the most amazing people I know and for most, I have not had the privilege of meeting them in person. I hope to change this, so stay tuned for more….

Sending you all a big hug,

Janet
