Daughters without moms find support in each other’s grief by Tracee Herbaugh

Interview with Beth on the Daughters without Moms Podcast

Janet's Take-Away: Even though it feels scary and uncomfortable to face your grief, it's so worth it. Whatever that looks like for you, find an outlet. Find a way to connect with your grief because our grief lives with us, and that's okay! All of our stories are important!

Janet talks to host Derick Fage of Rogers Daytime TV about the Motherlove Project, her mom Cass and grief at the holidays.

  • The Grieving Mamas Club Podcast

This episode is one of our favorites! Cara and Rashida meet their new grief bestie, Janet Gwilliam-Wright. Janet is a career coach, a depression survivor, and oh yeah a fellow motherless mama. Having lost her mom over 20 years ago, Janet is no stranger to the grief process. Through years of work on herself (and the patience of her wonderful, amazing wife, Meg), Janet has overcome all obstacles put in her path since that fateful day she graduated from high school and lost her mom within the very same hour. Her story is honest and it's one of the things we loved most about it.

Janet wanted to remember the 25th anniversary of her mother's death in June 2020. She created the Motherlove Project, where she shares written stories and pictures of other women who have lost their mothers. True to her life's design, she created a medium where others can write their own stories, just like Janet realized she could do with her own life.
