The Project is turning 4!

This June, the Motherlove Project turns 4! With stories from 114 amazing women and 40,000 page views, the Project is a truly global community. I’m still in awe of how beautifully this community has grown, thanks to each of you who read, comment, share with your family and friends and share your memories of love and loss. I’m grateful to each of you.

The Project started as a way for me to memorialize my Mom, Cass. After 25 years of grieving her, I wanted to mark the 25th anniversary. I created the website, started an Instagram account, and waited. Thanks to my beautiful friends who had also experienced the death of their moms, the Project started to grow. This is the power of telling our stories, and it continues to be the strength of the community.

Submissions are always open and I encourage you to share your story if you’re interested. There are no guidelines or word limits, you can share as much or as little as you want. I love reading your stories and seeing the beautiful memories you share through photos. I’ve said many times that each time I post a story or write a blog post for the Project, it helps to close the massive hole I’ve had in my heart since my Mom died on June 17, 1995.
