Katrina’s Story
Not many can say that you're older than your own mother. I am . My mother died of alcoholism and her demons took over. I was 7 at the time and she was 28 almost 29. She called my foster care before she went to sleep forever. She called to say that she was tired and wasn't feeling well . It was the last time I told her that I love her. That night, I felt like something wasn't right at all. The next day, I was coming home from school and my foster mother at the time told my brother and I that my mother passed away during the night.
I'm Katrina and I'm a mother to 2 daughters and their grandmother looks out for them every day.
