Naomi’s Story

I lost my Mum, Juliette, to ovarian cancer in 2014. My Mum put a shine on everything, big or small, and made you feel so special. She sadly never got to meet my two young daughters, but her spirit runs through them and they will grow up knowing all the wonderful things about her. I hope I am doing her proud, I keep going, but I would give anything to have another hug, another conversation, another moment in her presence.

Ovarian cancer is notoriously silent. The signs and symptoms can often be missed, or misdiagnosed. If you are experiencing persistent bloating, feeling full very quickly, a change in bowel habits, the need to urinate more and pelvic or abdominal discomfort, please speak to your doctor and mention ovarian cancer. Chat to the women in your life about these symptoms and help to raise awareness. It’s worth it.
